Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

AKA started as a vision of nine college students on the campus of Howard University in 1908. Since then, the sorority has flourished into a globally-impactful organization of nearly 300,000 college-trained members, bound by the bonds of sisterhood and empowered by a commitment to servant-leadership..

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

We are a private, not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support to local communities throughout the world. Since its founding in 1913, more than 200,000 women have joined. The organization is a sisterhood of predominantly Black, college-educated women.

The League of Women Voters

The League of Women Voters of the United States encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.

NAACP

Founded in 1909 in response to the ongoing violence against Black people around the country, the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) is the largest and most pre-eminent civil rights organization in the nation.

The National Council of Negro Women is an “organization of organizations” (comprised of 300 campus and community-based sections and 32 national women’s organizations) that enlightens, inspires and connects more than 2,000,000 women and men.

The National Woman’s Party

The National Woman’s Party was a leader in the fight for equality. And we're getting back in the game to complete the advancements for women envisioned more than 100 years ago by our founders. With our historic headquarters now preserved as a National Monument, the NWP fights for the advancement of all women.

We are an intergenerational power force of Black women from various sectors. We are business women, politicians, union members, authors. We are cis and transgender, we are LGBTQ, we are mothers, aunties and we are immigrants. We are Black women—power speaking truth.

We serve the Hispanic community through our research, policy analysis, and state and national advocacy efforts in communities nationwide. And we partner with a national network to serve millions of Latinos in the areas of civic engagement, civil rights and immigration, education, workforce and the economy, health, and housing.
